The RFIC design activity is carried out within academic research programs as well as in collaboration with industrial partners. Here in the follows, a gallery of the designed and tested circuits is reported.
PRIN2003: Multi-standard 5-6GHz transceiver front-end for domotic WLAN
The project was funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Education. All the circuits were designed in a 0.35um SiGe BiCMOS technology.
MEMITEC2005: X-Band PLL
The project was funded with MeMiTeC group resources. All the circuits were designed in a 0.35um SiGe BiCMOS technology.
PRIN2005: Silicon Integrated Radiometer for Fire Prevention and Civil and Environmental Safeguard.
The project was funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Education. The monolithic X-band radiometer was designed in a 0.35um SiGe BiCMOS technology while the down-conversion mixer was designed in a 90nm CMOS technology.
MEMITEC2007: 65nm CMOS for multi-media applications.
The activity was funded by NXP (formerly Philips), Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and by ST-Microelectronics (Pavia, Italy). The Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) was designed in collaboration with NXP and the Single Side Band (SSB) mixer was designed in collaboration with ST Microelectronics. All the circuits were designed in a 65nm CMOS technology.
MEMITEC2008: Enhabling building blocks for Ku-band applications.
The project was funded by Politech'Nice (Nice, France) and carried out in collaboration with Entropic Communications (Sophia Antipolis, France). All the circuits were designed in a 130nm CMOS technology.
